Autism Awareness
Finding Inspiration in Every Turn
Our mission is to promote autism awareness, acceptance, and inclusion by educating communities, supporting individuals and families, and celebrating the unique strengths and contributions of those on the autism spectrum.

Our Story
In the wake of the tragic death of 17-year-old Victor Perez—an autistic and nonverbal teen with cerebral palsy who was fatally shot by police in Pocatello—community members gathered in Caldwell, Idaho, for an Autism Awareness event aimed at fostering understanding, compassion, and advocacy for neurodivergent individuals.
The event honored Victor’s memory while emphasizing the urgent need for better training, awareness, and de-escalation strategies when interacting with individuals with developmental disabilities. Community leaders, families, and local advocates came together to educate the public, offer support resources, and call for meaningful change.
Victor’s story reminds us why awareness is not enough—acceptance, respect, and protection must follow.
