Global superstar Karol G is celebrating a milestone year with two major announcements: the launch of her first tequila, 200 Copas by Casa Dragones, and her upcoming role as the first Latina artist to headline Coachella in 2026.
A Tequila Inspired by Music & Rebirth
The inspiration for 200 Copas came while Karol G was filming the music video for her hit song 200 Copas in Punta Mita, Mexico. Surrounded by friends and a bonfire-lit beach, she described it as a moment of freedom, rebirth, and love — one she wanted to share with fans through something lasting.
That vision took shape through a partnership with Bertha González Nieves, the CEO and cofounder of Casa Dragones and the first female Maestra Tequilera. Together, the two trailblazers created Casa Dragones’ first Cristalino tequila, an aged expression designed for sipping, crafted in small batches of 500 cases or less.
“This isn’t just an endorsement,” Karol G emphasized. By joining Casa Dragones as a partner and investor, she has taken one of her biggest entrepreneurial steps yet. Fans can follow the journey in a new four-part docu-series, already available on Casa Dragones’ YouTube channel. Pre-orders for 200 Copas opened this week, with bottles hitting shelves in the U.S. and Mexico starting October 1. A Colombia launch is planned for early 2026.
Breaking Barriers at Coachella
Alongside her business venture, Karol G will make history at Coachella 2026, where she has been announced as a Sunday headliner on April 12 and 19. She joins fellow global stars Sabrina Carpenter and Justin Bieber at the top of the lineup.
The performance cements Karol G’s role as a trailblazer — not only in music but also in representation. She will become the first Latina to headline the iconic festival, a moment she has described as a responsibility to represent her community on one of the world’s biggest stages.
Karol G previously performed at Coachella in 2022, delivering a high-energy set that celebrated Latin music. Her return as a headliner marks a full-circle moment in her career — one that blends artistry, entrepreneurship, and cultural impact.
